100v to 220v transformer

It means that it may well not run at speed. Some motor design, rely on power frequency for setting the rotation speed.

But from what I read about the original motor of the L-O7D, it’s a DC motor which means there’s a controller upstream in the circuit doing the regulating . . . which itself may or may not be happy with any particular frequency.

You can give Airlink a call and ask them. Then you get the correct answer. :innocent:

That usually means a switching PS which could handle 110-240. Don’t use a transformer - a good one is going to be quite expensive. If it needs one, get a different turntable.

They’ve told me it’s a Sp-10r. Has dual voltage and works in all regions.

Yes, that’s technics top of the line turntable. The manufacturers website has all the information you need:
Power Supply AC 110 - 240 V, 50 / 60 Hz
I would say worth shipping!

Wow. You lucky bar steward.

Yes I’ve happily paid for shipping!

blimey. No clue what tonearm, plinth to get .

some serious research required

any ideas welcome

If they have been using it, it will almost certainly come with the Technics machined plinth and an arm. Maybe sit tight and see what arrives first.
