Don’t you mean season rather than scenario?
Well, scoring isn’t much of a problem at present.
Keeping them out is an entirely different matter…..
Wow top 10 shootout and there is a gap of over 2 seconds between 1st and 10th, didn’t expect that I thought that it would have been closer.
Looks as though Mr Russell is trying to show Toto that he can still win the championship.
I have had a lot of time/respect for Lewis Hamilton over the years. A superb, fair & elequent driver.
However, seeing his defeated body language & hearing his monosyllabic response to post qualifying questions yesterday was yet another repeat of the majority of his race interviews over the past two seasons. He looks totally fed up most of the time.
It suggests to me a beaten man who does not want to be there. A man whose best performances are behind him & a man who realises that the biggest mistake he has ever made was leaving Mercedes when he did, especially to go to Ferrari. A team that always seems able to find a way to under perform.
In the current Mercedes he may have been able to achieve the eighth title (he looked, & spoke, like a revitalised Lewis after winning in Barcelona this year), but appears to have realised he will never achieve it with Ferrari.
Reluctantly, I feel that he should should call it a day at the end of the season to preserve his legacy, avoid permanently tarnishing the memory of the fine driver he was & to do something that puts a smile back on his face.
Lewis wasn’t any happier after finishing 6th in the race.
Ferrari really do need to change their senior management, they just lack a someone to pull the team together to give them direction and purpose. Neither Charles or Lewis did much in the race and if McLaren had a modicum of good luck during the race then Ferrari’s points tally would have been further reduced.
But Lewis and Fernando should call it a day and move on to formats, how about L&F entering Le Mans in 2027?
…in the same team???
…surely Horner has better things to do…
…poisoned chalice?
Oh hell yes, I’m sure that they would be completely professional ![]()
…more entertaining than current F1 races…
It has been a while that i have seen a race nearly mad witness the entire race (but a lot of that has to do with stupid crashes, subsequent SC’s and restarts, in which MV has once more demonstrated his class in racecraft. Nearly made George pull out a diamont from behind with the last 8 laps.
Yet, entertaining (to some level at least) as it was, there was not much real racing going on on track. Mercedes is still in a class of it’s own. Antonelli was somewhat dissapointing in that sense that with that mercedes, i would have thought him to be able to hit P4 easily (as McLaren and Ferrari were no match on the straigth line).
Curious to what this weekend may bring.
Hmm, just wondering if anyone can remember the last time the Bahrain GP was delayed because of rain.

Never, when actually held in Bahrain. Now, if you’re taking about Sepang then it’s a different story.

I got up to listen to the GP on the radio. We are away so I can’t watch it. My wife has just come into the kitchen and asked if it has finished. I said it hasn’t started yet.
Will it start? Arguing over rules, it seems.
Cars failed in the rain due to software. Delay extended so they could remap.
Further proof that these cars should only be raced on consoles ![]()
I have to admit that I quite enjoyed the highlights, a great drive by Max to win but Hamilton, what a stunning drive, I just wonder whether he would have won if Ferrari hadn’t yet again shot themselves in the foot with strategy.
Mr Vasseur’s tenure as boss looks very shaky, I’ll be surprised if he is in charge in 2027.
I understand some of today’s problems were caused by a new FIA software update for the cars.
This is required so that the FIA can turn off Russell’s engine at a time that they feel most appropriate during the race. ![]()
Must be the SECU as so many different teams were affected. Also explains why the FIA thought a restart in original order would be fair.
Ultimately I don’t think he had the pace. Perhaps second would have been possible, but I suspect he would have ended third either way.
