I am still pleased my original Uniti1 is still alive and kicking, it has made a very nice bedroom setup, as my Nait XS3 and ND5 XS2 is used as the main setup. While much of the older Uniti is just what it is and will be, it still sounds great, and I love that the CD player is still ticking, and the added bonus of FM tuner module whenever the mood strikes. A fine Swiss-Army knife piece of gear! Couldn’t ask for much more!

I was hoping that there would be an NSC without an internal power supply enabling an even better dac and preamp which could be powered by either a 555 or the new npx. I would have been tempted but as it stands I will be sticking with my 272.

Shortly after the 272 came out, those of us using it with an external power supply started wondering about a version without an internal power supply. It never happened so I think it’s unlikely that Naim would do that with the 222.
I can’t recall details of the discussion on the old forum but you could look it up if interested.
