282 +SCDR single SNAIC

Can a 282 be connected with a supercap using only a single SNAIC?

No, this is what you need:

You can certainly use just one SNAIC, as if the Supercap were just a big Hi-Cap. If the question relates to a short term situation, perhaps you only have one SNAIC on hand, or don’t have a dealer nearby, it is fine to use the Supercap in that way. You will need the appropriate shorting plug for the Upgrade 2 output socket on the upper row of the 282. Long term, it would not be a good idea to use a Supercap in this way with a 282 as you would not be getting the best out of the equipment you have in your hands.

Without this, you will only power one channel.

Thank you all. Is this the standard plug that comes with the 282 that I need? Im selling my hicap pending an upgrade to 252 so it’s only temporary.

Yup. Same plug as was there when used with HiCap.

Its the plus which ‘should’ have come with your 282. Best to check… :expressionless:

Do exactly as you would with a Hicap. Just connect the Snaic to Supercap Output 1 instead of Hicap Socket 4.

Thanks. All connected and working using a single SNAIC pending the 252 upgrade.
