2nd Gen Muso Qb will not update to latest firmware 4.4.0

Hi ,

Have done the recent firmware updates on Naim devices at home in UK that enable the new Naim Tuner service etc.

We also have a 2nd gen Muso Qb in a ski apartment in France. Just arrived for first time in six months and realised that the Muso firmware would need to be updated so that the new Naim radio stations tuner can be played.

I am using an iPad which has iOS 18.8.1.1 installed and Naim App version 7.2.

The French Muso firmware is showing as 4.3.2 (6482) and when I go to System settings on this Muso and click “check for update”, it keeps saying " Firmware is up to date. Tried to do reset of Muso ( switching off and then on , inserting reset pin etc ), this is not making any difference. Is there a hard factory reset?

So, as unable to perform a hardware update, I cannot select any of the new Naim radio stations , just a few legacy stations.

Anybody any idea why I cannot do this update or even better , how I can fix it?

Muso Qb can only be connected wirelessly.

PS Using Airplay as interim measure . but would like to enable the alarm etc onto channels that I want to hear!!

Perhaps just leave it for a while over night as it may not be grabbing the update from the server yet for whatever reason. Or try typing the units IP address into your web browser and clicking the update tab and see if that mechanism works.

It was simply a bad internet (via wifi) connection in France. All resolved.
