3 month free trial of Quboz

Hi.

I am having a go with Quboz and have searched on the forum on how to get Quboz to play to my NDS, however I have been unable to find any information.
I seem to remember reading somewhere that you need Bubble to enable this to happen.
I have downloaded the Quboz and Bubble apps to my Android phone, and have also downloaded Bubble to my NAS.
So far the only way I have found to play Quboz to my Naim system is to use the Quboz app and Bluetooth from my phone to my Chord Chordette Bluetooth receiver.
How do I get Quboz to play via my NDS?
Thank you.

No direct way.
In my experience:
Indirect via a separate streamer such as Wiim or Limetree Bridge, or Roon via RooUPnP. Both work well and have other advantages

You can try Audirvāna too. Log in to your Qobuz account in Audirvāna, chose NDS as output and off you go. They have a smartphone app too but you need a computer to run their ā€œcoreā€ software.

BubbleUPnP Server worked very well for me, running on a NAS. Use a third person app for control, either Linn or Lumin.

Bubble on the NAS will work. From memory - about 10 years ago! - you need to set it as an open home renderer or some such. Google will help you here. Then use the Linn app to control Bubble; it will show the NDS fine.

It’s Qobuz by the way.

Thank you.
Ah, you spotted my Dyslexia.

You have my sympathy. Q is almost always followed by u in native English words. Apparently Qobuz was chosen because it is a shamanic instrument - a two stringed horsehair violin played by a bow. There’s an article Why is Qobuz called Qobuz?’ in Qobuz magazine. I guess they wanted an unusual name for their brand.

I think if you have a recent NAS there is a NAS app as well now.

Bubble UPnP on Android should work, but you also need the Bubble UPnP/DLNA License app installed.

Perhaps you already have, but I can’t tell from your description.

Would it work with the MConnect app? I can stream Qobuz to my Gen 1 Muso and MusoQB with it.

Yes, in bubble server on the NAS tick the box to create an OpenHome version of the renderer (the NDS) and then any OpenHome aware control app should be able to see it. Bubble UPnP, Linn app, Mconnect should all work, even the Linn Kazoo app on Windows is fine. All this was what I did to get hi res Tidal before it was officially supported.

Playing around with Bubble and Audirvana.

I have been a Roon user since 2015 and use my NDS as a Roon endpoint via a SonoreUPnP Bridge.

Roon has a good integration with Qobuz as well as Tidal, and deals with thr internet streaming services through an ā€œinternet-facingā€ server and feeding the NDS with a ā€˜local service’ to overcome the buffer limitation within the streamer board in the NDS (which predated the internet streamed services) and makes a sensible separation within a server based architecture.

Not an offer here in France. I tried today.

Irritating with Qobuz app. If I download albums and playlists the songs in the playlists shows up under albums too and their albums which creates a mess. Anyone know how to solve this? Tidal app is still far superior IMO. But Qobuz overall is bit better on Jazz. Soo d quality. Cannot hear a difference today.
