I will curse it now but my 50” Greek grey import is still going strong. Has all the features of the 60”. Had it since 2009 when they announced their departure from making TVs and the prices sank quickly before scarcity set in.
That’s not a “real” Panasonic, and neither is the TB-40S45AEY.
They’re OEM models produced by Vestel. (You can tell from TiVo and the input layout.)
Well, turns out the remote was defective. Searched in drawers & found original - new batteries & back in business.
Had a massive struggle to open the battery compartment!
