Hi all,
I have bought a second hand Nac 282. As I have notice much later it was delivered with an not original paddle link plug.
Some days ago I have changed to the original one.
Curiously I have recognized a great uplift in sound quality in every spectrum.
Has anyone had similar experiences?
Probably cleaned the contacts swapping them over.
In and Out etc
Can’t understand the “ benefit “ of a not genuine link plug.
I bought a replacement and then found the original… I compared and couldn’t tell the difference at all.
That doesn’t mean there wasn’t one just I couldn’t hear it .
I expect you are right. I cannot think why it would make a difference otherwise unless there was some kind of poor metal coating on the copy.
It is not a bad idea to occassionally remove and replace all din connections to clean them as past of a maintenance routine.
If you are having to use the paddle or even the plug that means an even greater opertunity for sound improvements remains.
Thank you all for your advices.
