Hello everyone, I have a 47 Labs OTA Stratos speaker cable (two solid copper core of 0.4 mm² per single run), but I’m not sure if it’s compatible with the specifications required by my SN3 amplifier.
If it’s not recommended, would it be better to go for a classic NACA5 or Totem Tress, considering the speakers are Tribe Towers? Thanks!
Solid core is never a good idea for cables that might be flexing and moving.
Different story for the stuff behind the wall.
I use Kudos KS-1 with my SN3 no probs easy to work and hardly notice.
That’s a very thin cable, which I doubt would be a good match for a Naim amp. If you can find the manufacturer’s specifications it may be useful, especially if you can get the inductance and capacitance figures, but I think you will be better off with a thicker cable.
For comparison, NACA5 uses 4mm cables compared to your 0.4mm.
0.4mm/2 is an abnormally small diameter wire and solid core, & as Skeptikel posted, its not good for a location that is liable to move/flex.
I can’t find any specs (CL&R) so would not be interested anyway if I were considering it, but whatever, that thin 0.4mm/2 & solid core is rediculous IMO.
