I did it just 2 years ago and would do it anytime again.
I went through the DR upgrade path bit by bit so spread the cost which helped with the budget. The 500 DR is the most expensive I recall. Its also the one which makes the most difference. It also preserves the value of the unit/s.
Iâve had all of my equipment serviced and DRâd over time. Itâs expensive but, in my opinion, worth every penny. A newly serviced and DRâd 500 has had about 75% of its innards replaced. That gets you pretty close to a brand new one, and who wouldnât want that?
A quick question, and slight diversion if I may, on the servicing of DR productsâŚ
If you already have a DR power supply but it is approaching 10 years old and needs a service, is there any additional service requirement above and beyond a non-DR power supply (i.e. do any of the DR parts have to be replaced too, or is the service schedule the same as the non-DR)?.. and apologies for the slight drift here.
