A History of Naim…

Must have changed a bit from when I used to buy it and and its sister mag “Practically” Wireless.

Wireless World was the heavy hitter in those days.

I can remember Wireless World… which always seemed quite complicated.
I kind of liked Practical Electronics, although their projects seemed expensive, but they had some interesting electronic instrument projects… remember the PE Minisonic? I did actually build a variant of that and it was used on a single :grinning: to create a kind of electric drone and warble.
But when it came to Synth projects it was the ETI 4600 that many of us were in awe of… and you could sometimes see it and play it at electronic / synth shows.

I used to take WW regularly, often PE, and then ETI was great - that’s from where I built my first moving coil head amp.

If you’ve not seen it, the World Radio History website

https://www.worldradiohistory.com/index.htm

has a massive searchable collection of scanned mags going back many years. Great for a nostalgic read of the old electronics & radio mags.
