@feeling_zen , @0.0 I also brought one, as its a very easy way to get a reading. However just to let you know that I was able to compare the reading to a calibrated meter, and it measures about 2.5 volts under which equates to 1%. Of course yours may have a different variation, but worth knowing. Still a good way to watch things change throughout a day.

Output impedance of toroidal based power supplies raises when drawing a lot current.

Feeding a system with an oversized BPS, like the Airlink BPS150230, solves the impedance problem.

Such an oversized BPS can feed a full 500 series system while maintaining its output impedance very low (meaning it won’t have problems feeding the system during peaks of current demands).

That’s the idea. You place the BPS somewhere else, near your consumer unit, and feed the HiFi with a dedicated mains radial.

Indeed, they don’t. But you get rid of the hum, of any DC offset and it somewhat isolates your system. Plus, they are not that expensive.

So all good :smiley:

To fully clean the mains you’ll need something like the PS Audio Power Plant P20, but not sure it delivers enough current for a demanding amplifier.
