This is exactly the sort of long-term issue that people choose to ignore when they insist on stacking boxes or shoving them into poorly ventilated spaces in designer furniture units. I’m not suggesting that you or @CalamityJack have done this, but you only need to look at the system pics thread to see that there are many who do. Fair enough, people should use their kit as they want to, but then no good bleating when it prematurely goes up in smoke!
I’m sure you’re right about luck being a factor. Personally speaking though, if it were me I wouldn’t feel happy trusting to luck where a valuable pair of speakers was involved. I would get the servicing done on time.
