Hi all,
I’ve recently added a freshly serviced XPS2 (recapped by the official distributor) to power my NDAC, which runs in my system with a ND5 XS2 streamer and a Nait XS3. Sonically, the NDAC/XPS2 combo is wonderful — more air, tighter bass, better mids.
However, I’ve run into an odd issue that I can’t find anything about:
– About 1 minute into playback, the sound cuts out for half a second.
– At the same time, the Sync and HD lights on the NDAC front panel go out.
– The lights stay off, but the music resumes and continues sounding fine.
– This only happens when the NDAC is powered by the XPS2 via Burndy. On its own internal supply, it works flawlessly.
– I tried a brand-new Burndy cable, but the glitch still appears.
Has anyone experienced something like this? Do you think it points to the XPS2 itself (despite the recap), or could it be cable/connection related? Any troubleshooting tips would be much appreciated before I consider sending it back in. Thank you so much!
