Advice on changing Rega ELAs

Hi colleague,

I am a French hi-fi amateur as you are it.

Many thanks for your words.

Since many years, I listen to classical radios and forgive my cd collection.

At home or on the road I am on four of them:

  • rete 2 for baroque concertos played in Lugano by D. Fazzolis
  • Bcc 3… everlasting
  • NDR Kultur for concertos at 20h30
  • DR/P2 especially with Naestvermeren, a multi music emission at 22:00 til midnight, 7/7.
  • FIP, the French best radio in the wold.

All of that is tuned by a Muso whose software was recently in bad shape.

May I ask you ? I would like change my paire of danish Ela REGA loudspeakers 35 years old. Could you give me an advice on a comparative’s product ?

Best regards,

Hi Eric, it might be better to start a new thread in regards to your query. You’ll probably get more answers that way.

Eric, I have moved your query to a new thread.

It would be good to have a bit more information here as to what you are looking for. What is the real of the system around the Rega ELAs and why do you feel the need to change them?

Rega Aya is the natural successor.

@Eric34, I endorse Robert’s suggestion. My dealer played me a Rega Planar 3, their bottom of the amp range, the Io, and a pair of Ayas. Really good for the price. Music was cohesive and involving.

The Ayas look great too imo. Nor are they as physically big as they look in the pics on Rega’s site.
