Glad you like it. I was really impressed by this artist and her band. I think it will be my favourite album of the year. Certainly one to watch out for in the future.
Enjoyed listening to this album.
If you liked this as much as I did, you may also like Below Dawn by Bryony Jarman-Pinto. A lovely album, beautiful production too.
Iâm off to see Laura Jurd, an absolute star of the current young English Jazz scene, this evening. Appearing with Rebeka Edlundâs Virgin Forest Band at the Hastings Jazz Club, which should be good and all for a ÂŁtenner!!
Thanks I will check it out.
Laura Judd is excellent, I have a couple of Dinosaur albums. Perhaps not as hyped up as some of the others on the British scenes. There is some great music coming out of the UK at the moment. I also liked GoGo Penguin, Ruth Goller and Kit Downesâs Obsidian played on church organs was wonderfully unusual.
Thank goodness jazz tickets are still priced for normal humans.
The CD arrived today, and on my proper HiFi sounds even better.
I reckon that my favourite album so far this year is 'Loophole" by ex Pale Fountains and Shack front man, Michael Headâs new band, Michael Head & The Red Elastic Band.
Plus an honourable mention to âEcho Dancingâ by Alejandro Escovedo
Managed to find a sample of this upcoming LP, wow what a voice.
