Alex Zanardi was indeed an incredible character with no concept of giving in. Unbelievable drive mixed with instances of terribly unfortunate luck. What a life! RIP.

It takes a very very brave person to even think about an overtake at the top of the “Corkscrew” at Leguna Seca. Not only did Zanardi think about it, he executed it and got away with it. In the Indy Car world this overtake is simply know as “The Pass”
