A couple of days ago I discovered all my playlists were either empty or reduced to between 1 to 6 tracks.
I have power reset my NDS, Core, and router. I have rebuilt the Core Database and power reset, all to no avail.
I created a new playlist to test if a new one would work. It works fine.
I also note that when I view the playlist on the NDS screen on the front of the NDS all the tracks display there and play when using the buttons on the NDS but not on the App.
I now note this problem started in coincidence with the release of the newest version of the App ( version 8.2).
After having successfully loaded and played several playlists directly through the NDS I note the App will only display the song currently playing and will not display any other tracks whilst the DNS has them all there. I am now convinced this issue has been introduced by version 8.2 of the App. I would imagine any credible product and service company would treat this matter with urgency. One thing would be to revert back to a working version of the App and making that available to users while they correct the issue in the new version. I optimistically await.
I too use an NDS and Core and have the same problem with my playlist being reduced since updating to 8.2 on an iPad. I have a SSD drive inside the Core and a Synology Nas on the network. I don’t use any streaming services. The playlist is therefore made from locally stored files. If I exit the playlist and then return to it, there’s different tracks showing from the playlist each time, but still greatly reduced in number. Hopefully an easy update fix for HQ.
I’ve had the same issue with my playlists, playlists now only show a few tracks or no tracks. Funnily, the listings of the playlists still show pictures of the albums where the tracks came from.
I too have lost most playlist content - every time I click on the playlist just a few tracks show and its different tracks each time. I have put in a ticket to Naim Support. The consolation is that you can re arrange tracks within a playlist again by clicking and dragging, which disappeared with the previous update. It is a pain but at least I know it’s not my SSD in the core giving up or some other local problem. Cheers.
Hi Richard. Someone above has said that they logged a ticket to Naim and they acknowledged it is a known problem hence my comment stating it would be nice if Naim gave us access to a working version if there is no immediate fix available. Thanks for sending the email which will add to the tickets that seem to have been logged and hopefully get priority attention. Cheers.
