Do you want a power supply with that sir? The answer is usually yes so Iām surprised no one has listed them. Iād guess for many Naim system owners they must be quite a significant %age, in mine itās more than the source!
Mine are wrapped into my source/pre %. Iād imagine others have done similar?

That must be a record, Olympic or world, I am not sure, for allocating so little for the component that affects the sound the most.
Sources (TT, CD player, tuner) - 45%
Amplification -22%
Speakers - 26%
Support & cables - 7%
Interesting seeing some of the extreme differences, particularly regarding high % spend on sources at one end and high % spend on speakers at the other. Just shows how different we all are.
Itās proving quite revealingā¦

I was wondering about that but the biggest surprise to me was my spend on pre vs source.
Running the numbers again with the 552 incoming gives even less on the source, a P8 with Goldnote psu and phono plus the Hana cart. Not recognised as a particularly weak source .

About 3x the total cost of above in vinyl. Cables seem high but the NACA5s are half of it
Rough cost breakdown of my main system when new:

Power-amp - 24.1%
Speakers - 16.9%
Cables - 4.6% (Analogue only - Speaker, XLR pair & RCA pair)
Rack Support - 1.7%
I havenāt included my vinyl & reel to reel sources, nor my digital cables (BJC cat 6A) in the cost breakdown.

Ooohā¦ I calculated this recently and, based on MSRP, nearly 25% is for cables.
