Very sad, she was a part of so many of my younger memories and Mrs AC regularly views the Murder She Wrote stuff every weekend.

I remember going to Middleton Palace (Lancashire) cinema to watch Bedknobs and Broomsticks.
Demolished in 2001

As a family we’ve always lived that movie.
We had two cinemas in our town both demolished decades ago - the Embassy and the County were fine places of entertainment.

Saw her on stage five times (twice in Sweeney Todd). A great actress.

A very heavy imprint from childhood, the wonderful Bedknobs and Broomsticks featuring AL, a Disney production. If you haven’t seen it, it contains a football match which makes the infamous England v Argentina game in the 1966 WC look like a friendly 
— although I’m not sure if the soundtrack in the clip is original.
