On my Uniti2 I am using 2 jack plugs for my rega Asia mc phono stage,but wonder if it would make any difference using the dedicated 5 pin phono socket,don’t want to buy a new cable if it’s not necessary.
The dedicated DIN socket for phono on the Uniti2 is a powered 240 degree DIN, for use with a Stageline, Prefix or Superline Phono stage (provides 24v DC power and takes in the signal), so unsuitable as an input for your Rega phono stage. Stick with the RCA Phono input.
