Ikea Office divider panels may be useful as acoustic first reflection panels.

My son had some for his bedroom and, in short, I nicked them to experiment in the living room and… no they are not useful for the suggested purpose at all.

One would think that they must be better than a flat plasterboard wall?
I would expect them to have some beneficial effect compared to a hard flat wall, however given that they are not particularly, cheap, wouldn’t it be better to get panels designed for the purpose?
