I am using a 3m A3 to an A3 powerdistributor and have a 3m A2 power chord from there to a Nordost QB 4.2 from which non Ansuz cables go to my record player. Speaker cables are 3m A2.
Powercables that are going from A3 powerdistributor to Naim gear are either Heimdall or Audioquest NRG 1000
I find this combination very open and engaging particularly when playing vinyl. Not dry at all.
The A2 speakz were more open and engaging than Naca5 or Audioquest to my ears
However I remember that I did try to put the A2 power cord directly on the high cap and the Nap 250 Dr. But for some reason didn’t like it. Don’t remember why i did not like it. maybe it was dry

It’s easy to hear other power cables change the presentation on Naim boxes but I find power lines and the original to be most coherent and Naim sounding.
I’m not aware of any case where the deterioration you described occurred with the use of Darkz. What surface did you place them on? It should be stable, ideally a hard surface and not glass. With all due respect, I really can’t imagine that your method is better than the original Darkz. I use a total of three sets of Darkz (2x T2, 1x T3W). Each time, there were clearly noticeable improvements.
I placed them on the rubber disc visible in the picture. I used Wolfram balls and read that they may lead to too much bass. May be that was the reason. I have titanium balls I can try.
I had high hopes and was surprised about the result. If there is something I did wrongly, I be very happy to correct this, given that these darkz were not cheap.
The rubber discs could be the problem. Ansuz recommends placing the Darkz on a surface that has no damping or spring effect; only then can the Darkz function properly. Generally, I’ve found the tungsten spheres to be better than titanium. However, I don’t have any practical experience with your DTC Darkz. As I mentioned, I don’t know of any instance where the Darkz have had a negative impact—quite the opposite, in fact. I have a large circle of friends who use Ansuz pedals. Try removing the rubber discs. Also, make sure that neither foot is hanging in the air; that’s important as well.
Most of the isolation device manufactures would recommend a quality “base” to support their devices to have them perform at their best.
Can’t really see what you are currently using under A3, perhaps see if you can borrow a quality hifi shelf or as the OP said, a solid base or even a non isolation shelf to test in conjunction with the devices your testing now ?
Unfortunately I have to use a closed cabinet which makes it difficult to place an isolation board. I also hoped that the Darkz would work without additional investment.
Without the rubber disc below the darkz, they work a bit better, but not a substantial step. The titanium balls are a bit better than the wolfram in my system - more precise bass. Again quite subtle. I will try to see if they bring more benefit under other components.
I can’t remember now, but I think a UK firm makes isolation device discs (just a disc from memory and no isolation tech). It might give you the stability needed for the Darkz
