My Anthem MRX710 AV amp has died.
Initially I lost audio, then following a reboot, the screen displays “Analogue” but nothing works, no audio, no video, trying to change to any other input the display goes blank and that’s it.
I emailed a couple of supposed local electronic repairers (Oxford area) but neither have responded.
I have ordered a replacement Anthem MRX540 (I don’t want or need the exactor channels of the MRX 740) but wondered if the MRX710 is worth repairing?
Any suggestions who might be able and willing to repair it?
I use the system as a stand-alone AV surround system for my TV which is a totally seperate system to my main Hi-Fi.
Mr Tech Guy. That is what google came up with for UK. Anthem is a brand that they mention that they repair.

I’ll see what they say but I have ordered a replacement anyway but if a repair is possible / reasonable, I might have it repaired anyway.
My SIM2 Theatre projector recently failed and the quote for repair was around £3k, which for a 12 year old piece of equipment I decided against. It may turn out to be the same for the Anthem MRX710..

Repairs on nearly all AV amps is notorious for being expensive. The densitity and number of boards makes the labour extremely intensive as a very time consuming and slow job just to get at a simple component. They are like Tetris inside. I’ve worked on a few and they are absolutely one of the most arduous servicing tasks there is.
If the unit supports ATMOS and 4K, I’d be inclined to get it repaired for anything less than 50% of a new equivalent.
