Any benefit adding a fcxs to a cd5xs?

I’ve bought a cd5xs. Plan is to use it as a transport into my ndx2/xpsdr.

Would adding an external PS bring any benefit when using it just as a transport? Or, does an external 24v supply also feed the digital bits?

Looking at the Naim site even if using the cd5xs and fcxs to drive an analogue output requires powering ( with 240v) both units.

The Flatcap only powers the analogue output stage, so it won’t bring any benefit to the digital or transport side.

And out of interest, if used as a transport, you can remove the connection/plug that powers the analogue side. Still works. Can’t tell if it’s better or not, so will refit in case I loose it.
