I see now the British Government has now started an investigation into the price increases during the sale. Hope that everyone gets the extra money back.
@Ardbeg10y Seems to be happening now at least.

Looks like price gouging then.
I suppose dynamic pricing is really the artists getting the profits from inflated prices instead of the ticket touts. Better for them but not the fans.
I often stay in a hotel in London that is £220 a night. Last night I stayed there and it was £344. I asked why that was and the receptionist replied that they were busy. This is apparently acceptable, and not that different.
But Oasis always knew that they were going to sell out. They even added extra dates. So they always knew that they were going to use dynamic pricing. And they should have been honest and upfront about that.
Hopefully the recent practices with the surge pricing on recent sales, e.g. Oasis, Taylor Swift etc will have attracted the interest of the Consumer Protection Agencies, for misrepresentation and price exploitation.
I sense some regulation coming in, on-demand pricing limits and booking fees.
This could also extend to Airlines and Hotels, who also avail of the demand pricing models and algorithms.
Itās just crazy prices for live gigs so donāt bother. After all thatās why we all have such good HiFi equipment so we donāt have to go. Makes our HiFi seem cheap in comparison.
Ticketmaster now being investigated for the possibility of failing to make clear that dynamic pricing was in play i.e. the ticket price may be higher between the start and end of purchase process. Which is illegal in the UK.
As a Plan B you could always go to see Definitely Mightbe for a mere £22.60
Is that your Masterplan? ![]()
Hang on guys.
Letās not be too hasty in getting rid of dynamic pricing.
Last year I went on TM to buy tickets for a Michael Schenker gig, a week or so before the date of the gig. When I went to checkout the price had unexpectedly changed
to BUY TWO PAY FOR ONE.
Dynamic pricing works for me. ![]()
Just close your eyes and smile like itās 1994, and use the money you saved on a decent Christmas holiday for you and yours ![]()
That works for me !
Looking at the size of the venues, folks are going to have to be standing on the shoulder of giants to see anything, even after forking out close on four hundred quid.
Answer to the original question (in the title)ā¦.
No.
I recall seeing her when she had her first album. Lovely voice.

Once saw her play Buckley Tiv in North Wales. Pretty much her original surge of fame on the back of that album. Long story short she appeared to be drunk and threw a complete wobbler at someone who coughed twice in one song. Long lecture on why we were patronising her. It was astonishing. I wasnāt a fan but went with a female friend who was. We were both appalled. She lost several hundred fans that night in one go. The only comparable thing Iāve seen was that extraordinary Angel Olsen gig in Manchester where she absolutely lost it.
Rather puts the lie to the idea that going to see someone other than the Gallagher brothers is a safe bet ![]()
