Are the NC series Star Earthed?

Have used a mains hydra for many a year but never thought to check whether the NC series are star earthed or not as I now need to get longer cable or fit a dedicated circuit. My current system is nds/555psDR/nac332/npx300/nap500Neat Ultimatum mf7

Star earthing with Naim is specific to the signal circuit, not power.
Power earths are all terminated to the metal casing.

So are saying the star earthed mains hydra lead has no benefit? I understood differently dating back to the days of the Graham hydra (which I’ve owned) but maybe I’ve misunderstood.

The Hydra’s are so called ‘Star’ earthed, but in UK electrical engineering we call it radial, in other countries its also call Star, but its a well understood term in both cases.

With power distribution in Audio & A/V aftermarket products its just a bit of a miss-name, maybe its deliberate for marketing, who knows.

The Star Ground that Naim and ALL others in electronics use, refers to the signal and related circuit grounds being taken to a single common point to eliminate any potential difference between grounds that will degrade the signal.

FYI - my own (DIY) power dist board, I have all (L, N & E) wired in radial.
Is it better than a ‘busbar’ connection, ?? I think it is, not least that it eliminates the question/need for preferred sockets ordering.
The same applies to Hydra, I’ve no doubt, but never tried one myself.
With my DIY dist. board, how its wired, plus the cable and plugs/sockets are all contributing.

Wow! Let me assimilate what you have told me.
