I’ve heard the PMC’s sound better…
Was there a NAIM room?
No, just a couple of HEs on the headphone stand. That’s what Suzywong was referring to above.
My wife wouldn’t let me have a messy system like that in the lounge!
Tbf PB, I wouldn’t have a system like that in my lounge either…
God, that looks awful.
DG…
The boss would not let me have that in the garden, even if it rained.
To be fair the products they sell normally sit behind the rack and not in front.
But if they did that you wouldn’t see the stuff they are trying to promote .
Surely it’s not hard to see that?
Sorry……it looks like a mom and pop setup, does not give me much confidence. After Witch hat………wide berth from me.
Who, Russ? Been around for years. Started a hifi shop in Edinburgh, moved to the south coast, still selling hifi, then moved up to Cumbria with his current “somewhat controversial” portfolio - expensive Mains cables and equipment stands, as examples……now who could possibly have such “way out” ideas as that?
I enjoyed the show including the Vivid Audio Molas, which had the best sound I heard. Now I’m in bed with Covid !!
Great pics and feedback - thanks folks.
A Naim dealer back in the early days too.
Ahead of his time.
Thirty years ago he was selling interconnects, containing copper conductors of various cross section. (At very reasonable prices).
Which is how Super Lumina is constructed. (Available at not such reasonable prices).
Absolutely! And no Meridian DSPs as they were listed as distributers? not impressed with Naim/Focal absence just the headphones listened to the Utopia’s through an iPhone sorry but its not the way to listen to them!
The one saving grace is being able to chat with Hi Fi News editor Paul Miller ive met him at several Beaumont Hotel/Ascot shows and he never fails to find time to chat in spite of his very busy day top gent!
And to save another thread i finally took delivery of my Sonus Faber Lumina 11 Amato’s had to wait a few weeks but my dealer Sevonoaks sound and vision in Epsom said they are indivdualy made for each customer ;
Half the size of my Focal Aria 906s but look gorgeous in red(rosewood?)
And dont sound too shabby straight out of the box
Looking forward to running them in!
This is obviously their priority now.
DG…
To be honest when listening to music this week I’ve been thinking ’what would this sound like through the Vivids?’
