Well the Core needs an SSD or HDD to store music files, but yes, to me it would make more sense to stick a USB drive in the Atom than to lug around a Core as well.
I’d go for a Nova.

I miss the days when people would just deck out their Ford Escort with ridiculous crap and have the entire back window covered in a big pink sticker that said “Cerwin Vega 2000 WATTS!” and crawl it through the high street at 2mph with the windows down playing 2Unlimited.
