I am using an Atom HE with some ATC SCM20 powered speakers that cost multiples of the Atom but it sounds good with them just a tad wooly which is the case whenevr I have used the Atom HE with NAIM amps as well. I’m not sure it is designed as a great preamp but with headphones the sound is top notch.
