I wondered if it would be possible to connect the output of an atom to the power section of a naitxs ? How and what might be the benefit

If it is possible I would be very surprised if it was worth it. The Atom has a very good power amp section. Most people who have tried adding a power amp (including me) find you need to add a 180 or better still a 250 to really hear the difference. The Atom can drive a whole range of speakers really well.

You could connect the pre out to the AV bypass in. An excercise in futility, imo. Also remember that with the Atom the power amp section can’t be turned off.
As their name suggests, these all-in-one products are just that. If you’re looking for an upgrade then sell the Atom and look at a Nova. Some good pricing on those at present. Or look at going pre power; a myriad options there.

If you have both Atom and XS, for some reason,? then Atom can be used as source into XS amp, streamer and radio.
