Atom not seeing NAS

My uniti atom is not detecting (wi fi) my synology beestation on my home network and my library of flac unavailable. Have physically moved atom and wired directly to router but still not seen, router settings for upnp and dchp are both selected to on.

VLC app on my tablet can see the beestation.

Help needed please.

Do you have a UPnP media server running on your network? Most people would run this on their NAS, and most NAS drives have one included, but maybe the more basic Beestation doesn’t?

There is no server in the app like I can see on my Nova ?

It doesn’t look as though the Beestation can serve music, rather it’s just a place to store files. You very likely need a ‘proper’ NAS. We have Asset upnp on our Synology DS224 plus and it works fine.

No upnp server on system, although beestation will allow me to load Plex, so perhaps this will solve the issue.

Yes, Plex should do it. Probably better to run a dedicated music server like Asset or Minimserver, or even the Synology server that’s bundled free with their regular NAS models (but presumably not with Beestations), but if it can’t run these Plex should be fine.
