Milan Melià - VAC, MSB & Verity Audio - Part 2
Chet Baker - old recording do the typical left and right channel separation and less like modern stereo. Sound is again warm, while I miss a bit the drive
Rene Marie - nice voice rendition

Milan Melia - Morel Hifi / Ultrafide Audio - Part 1
Rachelle Ferrell - the sound could / should be less dry and more open. A bit too controlled as well.
Milan Melia - Morel Hifi / Ultrafide Audio - Part 2
Dire Straits - they put the biggie on top of the small speakers and now play the biggies. Getting close to it I hear the wireless distortion. Nice when you have a kind of need for flexible party setup, but not to be regarded as serious Hifi.
They go back again to the normal speakers, while we didn’t hear the bigger speakers only the whitish smaller stand mount ones.
Fink - sounding metallic, sometimes unbearable. I like it a bit raw and most systems play it a bit too clean. But this is definitely to much edge. Bass and impact is however ok.
Milan Melia - Laho - Part 1
This is an Italian brand for speakers which we see a second time as well. Nicely crafted speakers, which give an impression of a piece of art. They are powered by the well known electronics of the 800 series of Boulder (also in Stuttgart and Vienna report).
George Michael - a warm rounded and airy sound, not bad…
Chantal Chamberland - ok soundstage, warm laid back and refined sound. Would be nice if it had a bit more balls / cojones….
Milan Melia - Laha - Part 2
Thomas Newman - nice test Track, however sounds a bit too clean and missing decay….., so too controlled…
Looking forward to also be inspired by Maestro Ricci in the 2nd show. Although he only speaks Italian…, I find him inspirational and he also has created fantastic sounding records with his company……
This is an old video but it gives some level of background….
Milan Quark - Naim/Focal - First Impression
That’s a long time ago that I saw such a decent Naim/Focal setup at a show. It was not introduced but Rafael suggested that this was the setup… 333 streamer, 332 preamp with power supply, and two 350 mono blocks…, odd that they didn’t add the PS as well to the streamer..
Had also shortly my better half in the Naim/Focal room, but unfortunately she is not at all into music…, so she went up again to do her things…
The guys from Naim feel tired and sad.
Milan Quark - Meeting Maestro Rici, Fone Records
Had the pleasure to meet and shake the hands of Maestro Ricci - the magician making the recordings available on his company Fone Records.
Milan Quark - Dartzeel - Quick Impression
You also get amazed by how some dealers / distributors are displaying there products. This was standing in a corner of a room, speakers still in plastic….with this absolute fantastic amplification from Dartzeel…..I said to Rafael that I would be happy to take the Dartzeels home as apparently the dealer is not interested in them…
Milan Melia - Ars Aures - Part 1
Accuphase electronics.
Marin Alsop - a bit thin for a symphony orchestra, should also have better PRAT, even sounding sometimes a bit edgy
Marin Alsop - missing the emotion
Milan Melia - Ars Aures - Part 2
Paris Opera Orchestra - missing scale and drama, just presenting the music in a too clean format…
Milan Melia - DRC
Eva Cassidy - I’m not impressed - also a lot of side noise from people talking, so also difficult to concentrate
Eva Cassidy - 2nd song missing punch and depth
Milan Melia - Colibri Labs
Adam Ben Ezra - missing a bit of depth in the lows which can be expected with such speakers, although sometimes if there is a louder passage it’s represented, so dynamics issue…, PRAT is quite good
TakeDake - you miss again overall very low, and some of the flute notes are not so pleasant to hear…
Hadouk Trio - it’s weird that the structurally choose music which is showing the limits of the system, often others mix it a bit up with other well sounding stuff or try to totally avoid it…
After a 9 hour drive including stops back home from my visit to the two audio shows in Milan. I will ensure that in the coming days I get the reports done for the two shows, so to enable myself to finish off next the Vienna report as well. Please @Rafael be so kind and also show your experiences and impressions. I guess you have some better pictures than me as you used a professional camera.
For future events I have the ambition to publish more close to the event so that I can make the report more rich and fresh.
As bonus I have added to the next post some pictures made which are not connected to the report I create.
