I wonder if anyone can help me. Im not sure whats happened, but I run Audirvana 3.5 from a Mac mini and / or MacBook Air and it’s no longer playing through the network onto my nd5xs2 via upnp.
The nd5xs2 works fine otherwise with other streaming apps etc, and the mac’s play Audirvana fine over my network to my Yamaha avr, Panasonic tv, and also throught the computers themselves, just not to the naim. It just gets stuck on " loading first track" and nothing happens.
I’[ve reset the naim app and still nothing.
It cant be a setting ive changed on the naim can it?
Any help here woul dbe appreciated as it’s going my nut in! haha
Have you tried the Audirvãna forum already? Their devs are present there, amd when you post your debug info there is usually quick response from the community amd the devs.
I don’t use 3.5 very much any more. I just now started it up on Windows 11, selected a Tidal album, and set Atom as upnp output… seems to work fine.
The Atom has the latest firmware.
Well, after playing a few songs and then switching to another album, I can’t get it to play to the Atom anymore. Yep, seems there are issues with Audirvana legacy 3.5 and upnp to Atom.
Not surprising, they haven’t made any changes to 3.5 in a few years.
Audirvana is actually working on a new promising architecture.
Audirvana Core is a new headless version (no user interface) you can run on almost anything from Raspberry Pi, NAS on upwards (just Linux right now).
Up to hi-end where you trim Linux for minimum latency and consider ‘hibernate’ modes like JPLAY Femto.
And they are extending the Remote so you can get all functions. There is a link on their homepage and discussions on their forums (you can download and try early version).
I found out what it issue is. It was the new naim update. I did a hard reset by turning the nd5xs2 off, unplugging for a few mins then turning back on. Problem fixed. Audirvana works fine again now.
