Auto Standby for NC series?

The default auto standby is 20 minutes. Is there a good reason to set it to never? I have a 332/333/NC250/NCVTT/Regs P10. Thanks in advance.

I leave it on 7x24 except lightening storms and vacation. Reason - it sounds better.

Thank you @JasVerlen

Two reasons if applicable:

  • if you use av bypass. It doesn’t recognize the input and goes to standby while watching something via the avr.
  • if you use airplay multi-play. Sound is not in sync if it needs to wake up from standby

@RexManning I don’t use AV. I am mainly worried about the TT not producing sound when it gets to 20 minutes.

“Phono is recognized as a signal and you need not worry about this bug then.” is what I said, but this needs to be varified, I could very well be wrong about this.

That’s new. It used to turn off after 20 minutes of playing records. Must try again.

Really? Then you might certainly be right and I just haven’t noticed while playing records as I gave up on auto standby because of the av bug. If so, sorry about the confusion.
