Can’t beat some of your favourite music on an autumnal day or evening. Something about settling down for the winter. I would love a wood burner to look at as well.
Any autumnal stereo pics folks?

Greens-leaves?
Absolutely. Its the transition from the light summer evenings, to settling down in the darker evenings. They also say that your sense of hearing heightens in the dark.
It’s Spring ‘round here but if I had to pick the perfect Autumnal album then it has to be October Rust by Type O Negative. Just oozes the right level of romanticism and ennui.
Thanks for the tip - I’ll check it out later
Very nice and with a good view too
County Durham. It’s a lovely time of year…
Nice touch! ![]()
Some top tunes to pick from there.
I quite enjoyed the Dylan film.
U2’s song ‘The Unforgettable Fire’ is an autumn / winter song for me.
Love the early evenings creeping in no excuse to be outside glass of red cuddle up in the chair and spin some CD,s.
Eva Cassidy live “Autumn Leaves” (sorry) Einaudi, Mike Oldfield and how about Kate Bush 50 Words for Snow. Great stuff
Brahms Clarinet Quintet (and for that matter a lot of Brahms’ chamber music)
Just listening to Randy Crawford - Secret Combination, as a bit of autumnal nostalgia.
I then put on the Type O Negative recommendation and on hearing the first track (Bad Ground) I genuinely thought my system had gone kaput, I kid you not!!!
@Taake, don’t do that to me, I nearly had a heart attack!
I listen to the same music all the year. Maybe a bit more soul and funk on summer.
The major difference is that I listen much more on vinyl on summer.
So Autumn is no different from spring or winter for me.
Hahaha, I mean they do call it ‘Bad Ground’ so you can’t say you weren’t warned.
Hopefully you listened to the rest of the album.
A bit of Scott 4 is perfect at any time of the year.
