Ken Dodd.
The comedy genius, probably not know for his outstanding vocal ability.

Ummm 18 singles in the top 40 with 4 in the top 10 and a UK number No. 1 that was at the top for 5 weeks and ranked as 4th biggest song of the decade that being THE 1960’s.
Just checking you are in the UK, as Ken may not be that well known singer outside of the UK, but your profile is hidden.

I’m from Liverpool.
As a youngster I was dragged to watch Ken Dodd quite a few times by my parents, I just assumed he was a comedian who also did a bit of singing.
I had no interest in music until the early 70 when I started listening to Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, so 60s crooners just weren’t on my radar.
And, don’t forget, having hit singles doesn’t necessarily equate to having a great voice.

I too have the cd and dvd. It’s so pleasing that they managed to get back together for the RAH run, and put in some excellent performances. Nice to see that that the old magic was still there and they were enjoying themselves. I’ve read conflicting reports about the success of the later American dates, so we are very lucky we have what we have I think.
Hi Lindsay, just come across some more Cream, or more to the point, Eric and George’s isolated guitar parts. It’s nice to hear George’s tasteful playing until EC comes in with the Leslie treated riff
