Chris Forsyth and his Motel band joining with the Garcia Peoples band
A crowded stage!
Chris has an “ idiosyncratic” vocal style, and he wisely chooses not to use it much!
Nevertheless his guitar playing is tremendous (on his earlier stuff there’s a lot of Tom Verlaine peeping out).
Anyway this ten minutes of three lead guitarists giving it plenty.
Always impressed by Mr Willie Dixon. Fabulous bass player and of course Mr Blues himself with more blues hit writing credits that anyone !
This video is very short on info but I’d put a large bet they the pianist is Memphis Slim, himself a wonderful player
Pure class
… … … and those white socks!
Anyone owning up to those?
No?
About 30 yrs ago I went to a talk by Ray Harryhausen at an arts cinema in Greenwich. He brought along several of his models including one of those skeletons. I had a chat with him afterwards - lovely man
That must have been great
So thats where Jimmy got his licks from.
