Sorry for the late reply Lindsay but I thought it was a weak-ass cover.
Bryan Adams just hasn’t got the phrasing, timing or the vocal power to deliver the song.
Sounds twee and shallow, waters in which Crystal Ship can easily founder.
Also, adding the ‘you’ to “When we get back, I’ll drop (you) a line” just robs what could be seen as the almost callous, throwaway nature of the line to boot.
Thanks for posting this. Terrific! I’m only a mere 70 years old, but Mick and the boys are a lesson for us all - never give up! I recognise that he is a multi-millionaire and can afford all sorts of help, but I do find the “poor old me” attitude of some older folk to be irritating in the extreme.
I note however, that Mick has followed Mark’s advice in seeknig out quality (or, at least, comfy) shoes.
Thanks for posting this! Great stuff. Good fun all round!
I didn’t recognise some of the labels, but people should stop using one of them. It’s “gypsy jazz” - just say it out loud - “Django, Django, Django, Django” - although you’ll never, never, never, never be as good!
