@steviebee listened to The Doors live at the Matrix the other night, absolutely loved it. I’m going to buy the vinyl version and also on CD but there seems to be a few versions of the CD, could you advise on the right version to buy.

I’ll be back home in a couple of hours @Timbo - I’ll have a look at my copies & get back to you. The much hyped ‘from the master tapes’ CD set actually wasn’t (but I recall the sound wasn’t too bad) and the recent set is easier to find I’d think.
Which release did you listen to?
@steviebee it was the Tidal original masters version 44.1 kHz 16 bit I listened to. Saw on Amazon two cd versions one for £18 and the other £31 the colouring on the cd cover was slightly different for the expensive version and the SHM version for £33 both 3 cd sets.
The cd will be ripped anyway so may not matter, but would value your opinion.

Sorry to say, @Timbo, I can’t find either my vinyl or CD copies of the latest release below - they’re somewhere here!
But I’d suggest the above set is the most complete as it includes the Bags Groove instrumental, which other copies don’t.
My other CDs: The purple set is a step up soundwise on the more comprehensive 3 CD bootleg set (yellow), and doesn’t sound bad - it only became criticised when the ‘original tapes’ hype untruth was blown open.
(Gratuitous shot of the two RSD albums, just for the hell of it!).
So, in summary, get the topmost. It’ll cover pretty much all the bases.
Edit/ and as soon as I post, I remember where I put the boxset! Doh. Now to find the CD set, lol…

@steviebee Excellent, thanks. I did like the Bags Groove track so I’ll make sure I get that version. Now to go shopping and thanks for the RSD gratuitous shots, if I come across those I’ll probably snap them up as well. My wife will just shake her and say oh no, not more Doors stuff

What a 'plane.
I can remember being entertained as a boy watching one flying low and fast along a runway then just launching up like a rocket at tremendous speed and breaking the sound barrier as it climbed. Absolutely fantastic.
