On your Naim pre amp (black series only) or supernait was your balance knob centred as fitted by Naim initially?

You don’t list it, but my SN2 balance knob was not centered. I slid it off and shifted it one spline.
Same with my sn3
I’ve added the supernaits now
Wot. No 202?
balance control is hidden - no visible knob.
@Yeti , for your future tranquility, you should perhaps add Nait 1, 2, 3, 5i, XS2, 3, 112, 202, and S1.
My 282 is off centre. Is it easy to change?
Done it! Not 100% but near enough! Kettle and music now on…
As balance alters with volume on my 252 its both yes and no
My SN3 is centered at 11 o’clock.
I don’t believe this is an issue.
Maybe is because of my room “imbalance”.
Anyway glad SN3 has the balance knob & I can correct the imbalance.
They are all a bit short on knobs I think.
Weird how it appears to be mostly common with the SN3?
Never had any issues with my SN3 knob being off-centred, in looks or sound.
This thread could end up being in a “Carry on” film.
Can’t say I can notice much difference between 11 and 1 on my 552. Very subtle at best and anywhere in that range seems fine to me. How can you guys tell with such accuracy?
If nothing else than from where the limits of the knob’s travel are, are they symmetrical, ideally both knob and image should be central at the same setting. The mono button can come in useful, or a mono recording if you don’t have a mono button.
Yeah, and I was sat in front of it when I posted that too.
Doh.
PLEASE don’t add the Nait - no one ever knew where that should be.
Nait 2 not too bad but the 1….
Perhaps the 552 isn’t resolving enough to show a 25% balance shift.
