All the systems are very speaker heavy. Like this…
Or this…
Maybe it’s no more speaker heavy than my Atom HE and active PMCs, but the Scala with just a 250 seems strange. I’m sure that in practice buyers can mix and match.

As @Gazza says it’s tough going at the moment so anyone in the hifi business will be looking for opportunities to tempt customers.
I’m now going to speculate as to the medium/longer term, I imagine we’re going somewhere like this:
But there will still be a market for Naim stand alone electronics to work with other speakers.
But please I have absolutely no inside knowledge merely thinking out loud.
I think these bargain offers were queued up and ready (anticipated) to be announced based on a big announcement today re global trade.
I would say go listen to it. It is musical and a Nait 50 can drive Scala to enjoyable level. So it might surprise you.
I am also thinking to bi-amp my Scala to the disappointment of others or against Naim advice. Let’s see how it all sounded hehe..
Are we in the US going to get an identical offer from NAIM or is it going to be a better one that covers also the 10% import tariff imposed tonight?
Well, the good news is that even with a 10% tariff, that’s less than the good Europeans tax themselves - an average of a whopping 21.6% in the EU!
This margin matching discount thing is just with the Utopia speaker options? Is that correct?
So has the Naim forum been hacked or where did they get the email adress-list. I live in Sweden so it cant be the dealer.
My first thought was: ha ha, looks like an April fool.
My second thought: wow, they’re getting in front of the tariff thing before everyone else.
What a horrible looking add. Looks like CEO messed around in PPT and off goes.
Not… you might negotiate discount with a dealership but no Ferrari do not themselves offer structured across the board discount on new cars. Renault might, perhaps…no?
A Summer promotion of some sort has been a Naim UK tradition for years - even back in my day. These summer offers usually come from the country’s distributor, not from the manufacturer, so are country specific, although of course Naim UK are both manufacturer and distributor for Naim and distributor for Focal in the UK. Normally they are done as a way to help support the dealers through the leaner Summer months. And with the current state of the UK retail market (including the hifi market) I’d imagine it’s much appreciated.
Odd though that some owners outside the UK received the email - at a guess I’d say that the product registration mailing list was used? I’ll confirm with Naim whether it’s UK only or not.
I’ve not received this email. Still, I don’t think I’ll be tempted to change, even by a 20% discount.
Yep, this just looks like a fix for sluggish sales in difficult market conditions. Also I can’t help thinking the new classic gear was a bit overprice too (imho).
I pity the guys and gals that recently spent a fortune on a new setup to now find they could have saved £’000s.
They downside of these big promotional discounts is after the event, folks will stop buying until the next promotion - or worse still they get tired of waiting and switch to another brand
Have you checked ‘Spam’? That’s where mine went.
I was pleased to get the email. Naim’s Nova with Diablo Utopias caught my eye.
Thanks, HL. I found it in the ‘Junk’ folder!
OK, just been on the phone with Jason at Naim. Turns out this is a worldwide promotion that has come from Focal & Naim, so that would explain the wide email distribution.
Someone asked about running 4 NAP350s; Jason recommends the balanced XLR outputs for HF and the RCA Phono outputs for LF.
It’ll be interesting to see if this reaches my dealer too…
