Does anyone know if it’s possible to get BBC Radio 3 U on the new Naim internet tuner? I can get it in BBC Sounds but I have not (yet) found it in the Naim tuner - which would be my preferred method.
Personally as Radio 3 Unwind is a lo-fi stream I’d use Sounds to send it from my phone.
But assuming you are in the UK and use the Naim app, open Internet Radio then Added Stations then hit Add Station to Add a Custom Station and fill in the station details and url. Cut and paste the url from here. There should be no gaps.
Hi @Explorer
We have discussed this with the BBC a few months ago.
Currently we can’t add this (and BBC Radio 1 Anthems) to our radio system as BBC consider this a stream only intended for BBC Sounds. If they decide to launch the stations on DAB+ then we will then formally get the streams.
As mentioned by Stokie there are unofficial “hack” routes, but as a BBC content licensee we need to play to the rules laid down by the BBC.
Best wishes
Steve
Thank you both for your replies. At least I can do it via BBC Sounds. As you say - it is a lo fi stream anyway. I am enjoying the new Naim internet tuner. It is a step up in terms of user interface and (it seems to me - without being able to make a direct comparison) sound quality. Thank you.
