I don’t (?) want to drive you all to distraction but I posted, many years ago, about the marked difference in sound quality between the two outlets on my twin socket.
It was a fairly ancient example. The mains came in to clamps on one socket and across, via bars, to the other.
As one might expect, the direct connection was better.
