Hi all,
I had 222/250 system mainly for streaming. I used Naim xlr interconnect that comes with 250. My 3-way speaker is fast and revealing using 3.5" titanium dome midrange. When I changed the speaker cable from pure copper cable for pro audio to NAC A5, the female vocal becomes sharper and harsher. The instrument seems to be more focus. I just changed 222/250 to 333/332/350 but the sharpness and harshness remain.
I use lavender din between 333 and 332 now. Any suggestion to reduce the harhness? Is changing lavender din to highline din cable help to smooth it?
NAC A5 needs a little time to burn in . As for an interconnect between 333 and 332 I’m a bit out of step on this one , I prefer Chord Chrysalis ( long out of production ) to Lavender , I can also enthusiastically recommend Vertere Redline for Naim . Stunning cable
Try the XLR Balanced between 332:333? I’ve found it fairly neutral in that any decent cable with good plugs can sound excellent.
That said, I didn’t like the HiLine with them. Lavender OK, but now using a Chord Sarum Super Aray din-din which is outstanding.
I’ve a pair of Chord Clearway XLR’s in my house somewhere which I might dig out over the next few days and try for fun.
Good luck.

Welcome to the forum
Especially from Drago to Dargo
When did the harshness appear - was it directly after change to naca 5? You had done no other change as well? E.g. updating the FW? Don’t want to pollute here - but only exclude other reasons for harshness.
Naca5 is a bit pushy and edgy in the HF - but never harsh in my system. Run in is mandatory!
If Darko turns up we’ll be even more confused and surprised
Just got it new for 4 weeks. I listen about 6-8 hours a week.
Still long way to go?
I did try xlr into Aux into on 332 with new pure copper pro cable, it is harsher to me ear so I put din lavender back on now.
We may be related somehow bro ha ha
When I put new NAC A5 speaker cable on.
Not XLR out to XLR in? Balanced?

The female voice sibilance is more for certain recording depends on the recording. I am streaming Qobuz.
Other songs and instrument are fine. Male voice is generally okay.
I’m finding my Core served rips sound noticeably better than Qobuz, Dargo.

The NAC A5 requires a well seasoned termination at both ends of the cable.
That’s where harshness kicks in - female voices. I know very well as I listen to female singers 80%. Music related - nothing more.
Wait till next few for 333 before you do anything
SL interconnect was less sharp in my system - but you can do a lot more with Ethernet cable.
I recall from reading a comment somewhere in the forum that highline cable is smoother than lavender. Super lumina is brighter. Is it true?
using xlr to xlr interconnect from 333 into aux input of 332.
I am using meridian G98 transport into 333 via naim DC-1 digital cable for my CD collections. Is the naim cd ripper better?
It is factory installed banana plug terminations
How do you connect the ethernet cable between 333 and 332? I saw ethernet cable slot on 333 but I don’t know what it is for.
