‘Need’ or otherwise is your decision! Whilst some people seem happy to rely wholly on online streaming services like Tidal, Qobuz etc., personally I would not want the availability of the music I like to be dependant upon malintaining subscriptions to online providers, their certainty or otherwise of retaining all the titles I like or their business stability, i want the music to be available permanently and in perpetuity. And that is quite aside from reliability of internet connections wherever I may choose to live, and the apparent risk of ‘dropouts’ that seem to crop up occasionally.

I believe quite a few people maintain collections of at least the music most important to them, and use online services for other music. (I do that with the free Spotify service to check out new music, and determine whether I like and want to buy.)
