Quick one I run a 252/250dr with signature xl speaker cable and I was wondering what would be the better upgrade , the 250dr to a 300 or the signature to Sarum T
Sarum T is great and quite a step up from Signature but replacing your 250 with a 300 (I presume that would be a DR?) would be the way to go at this point.

Went from a 250dr ro a 300dr with a 252 superb upgrade definitely worthwhile

I’d also consider swapping your ATCs for the active versions, or maybe the 50 if you have space. Then you won’t need a power amp at all, and no need for fancy speaker cables.

I would definitely have a listen to a 300DR, your ATCs will love it. Personally I preferred a 252/300DR with SCM40s to the active versions, although both were pretty good.

I found a 300DR driving passive SCM 40s was needed to compete with the actives, though I still preferred those. But that means another shelf. If funds allow a NC 250 might be another possibility, better than 300 DR, some say.

I upgraded from 250DR to 300DR a couple of years ago and it remains one of the biggest single upgrades I’ve made in almost 40 years, bigger even than 282 → 552, although I tell myself that the 300’s contribution was allowing the 552 to give of its best.
The 300 is said to be the 252’s natural partner. In your shoes, I wouldn’t hesitate.
