Unfortunately €15 is at least two orders of magnitude too cheap for anyone with pretentions to audiophilia to even consider!

Exactly! That’s why I couldn’t believe what I am hearing

It’s not easy to name the best update in terms of value for money. There are so many small steps that, when added together, contribute to an optimal result. One upgrade that sticks in my mind is when I added a Vovox Excelus Power cable to the Naim Uniti Atom a few years ago. The Atom was transformed: much quieter sound, much less noise, better spatiality and tonal balance. For Ā£300, it was an investment that more than paid for itself. This is especially true for devices in the Uniti series. My Nait50 is much less sensitive to power cables, even though a Naim Powerline has also brought a slight improvement there. The Vovox, on the other hand, doesn’t work so well with the Nait50 – too fast and too much emphasis on the bass and fundamental range.

NAC552 bought around 16 years ago, paid £7,000 and is the heart of my system . All Naim amplifiers could be considered best value when you think about longevity with only needing service every 10-15 years.

For me a cheap Uniti 1/2, Superuniti, Nait 3r.

LP12/Lingo kitted out with an Aro, both second hand and in great nick, for less than £1500 !

The LP12 has seen lots of change over the years but the base and platter remain. Lingo now replaced with Radikal 2.

That could be said of probably all amos on thd market, except many don’t need such tegular servicing…

After some thought I will say a Unitiqute. It’s a workhorse; in my case not for serious listening, but for background be it before I’m asleep, or when I wake up, or on in the kitchen or study.

CARUSO ISO-BOND

This is, by far, my best HiFi purchase.
The performance/price ratio is simply unbeatable!
I used ~14m3 for my listening room.

Cheers,
Thomas

mpg?

Probably the Chord DAVE for me, expensive yes, but the DAVE opened up a huge window on musical replay and stopped me looking at source upgrades.

Not really an extra but I had a spare supercap so put in on the 82 but didn’t have a second 5 pin snaic to hand. Sounded well enough with a more robust presentation than the Hicap. A couple of weeks later I got around to connecting the second snaic. My word what an uplift. Definitely my easiest and cheapest , therefore best value, improvement.

Best value from things that I have purchased would be the Nait 50 and Falcon Q7’s in my main listening setup and the Wiim Ultra streamer in the bedroom system. Nait 2 CB should also be mentioned since I bought it for $500 Canadian in 2003 and it was my main amp until a few months ago.

It don’t work, if you have to explain. I got it BTW.

Well done - you get a cookie

Hey, if it makes me giggle then it’s good enough

Using an acronym probably didn’t help if he’s not familiar with either miles or gallons. L / 100km would have made it obvious I suspect.
