Best way to clean Lp’s without machine

Sometimes Ivor was talking out of his arse.
You won’t shift mould with a stylus, not enough to reduce the noise appreciably. Then there’s those white specks that seem stuck to the grooves and a Hunt EDA or Super Xstatic or even the stylus won’t shift. A wet clean stands a better chance, even more so with an enzyme cleaner but failing that the PVA seems the most likely way to salvage the disk. Then use a Nagoka (which will fit inside a printed inner sleeve) or a Goldring or MF which won’t.

I’ve just bought a Spincare…not used it yet but the micro-fibre clothes supplied with it work well…

I’m getting a lot of fibres from the mat.
Does anybody know if you can wash the felt mats supplied with the LP12?

Dry-cleaned?

@anon56221831…was sort of thinking the washing machined with Woolite!

Have never tried it  But I think it is kind of logical?

I don’t think felt washed very well. If the mat is clean but loses fibres, try putting it on a firm flat surface and gently use a lint roller.

Hi I use this to clean all my records from 50 year old to brand new ones. Very easy to use and does a great job for the cheap price. Requires manual hand turning of the record.
