Black ash lp12 plinth

Been told black plinths dont age well due it being prone to scratches, chips and general wearcan any owners comfirm this ? Cheers

Well it is true that you have to be careful not to mark it as it’s not the most durable finish

But equally it’s easy to touch up / redo if your not happy with it

Black finish is easy to be taken care if it gets scratched or even dented. Imagine that you need to repair a rosewood finish?

I don’t know about that, mine is 10 years old and still looks great. Then again, I don’t go around bumping things with it.

I think it’s actually pretty easy to keep an LP12 looking good, and often wonder what kind of misuse causes the look of some of the eBay specials around.
